pH/ORP AnalyzersSelecting and maintaining online pH/ORP analyzers
An online pH/ORP analyzer combines a pH or ORP electrode with a transmitter or controller to measure acidity or oxidation-reduction potential continuously. It is widely used for neutralisation, industrial wastewater, cooling water, plating effluent and swimming pool treatment.
pH measurement normally needs temperature compensation, while ORP indicates how strongly an oxidant or reductant is acting. Instruments usually provide a 4–20 mA output and relays and can control acid or alkali dosing pumps directly.
Choose the electrode type, mounting and cleaning method according to temperature, pressure and the presence of oil or solids. Electrodes are consumables: calibrate them regularly with buffer solutions and replace them when they age.
