Multi-Parameter Water Quality Instruments

This category covers online instruments other than pH/ORP and chlorine: conductivity/resistivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity/suspended solids, ion concentration and COD/SAC sensors and transmitters, plus controllers that accept several parameters at once.

Conductivity is used for pure water, RO permeate, cooling water and boiler water, and ultrapure water needs resistivity sensors with a low cell constant. Dissolved oxygen is mainly used for aeration control in biological treatment, while turbidity and suspended solids monitor filtered water, effluent and sludge concentration.

Confirm the parameter and range, cell constant or measuring principle, process temperature and mounting, the need for automatic cleaning, and the output and communication interface. Maintenance intervals differ by sensor type, so calibrate as the manual specifies.
